In the handbook, which was created as a result of the project 2022-1-RS01-KA220-SCH-000088133 HOW TO STRENGTHEN THE RESILIENCE AND MENTAL WELL-BEING OF ADOLESCENTS IN THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT, teachers and other educational staff can find activities that they can apply in their work with his students to preserve and improve the mental health of young people.

This handbook is a collection of non-formal activities created for groups of adolescents aged 14-18, to strengthen their resilience and mental well-being. The authors of this handbook chose a few areas to focus on as important factors that affect the mental health of adolescents:

1. SOURCES OF STRESS IN ADOLESCENTS IN THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT (Muzička škola “Stevan Hristič” Kruševac, Serbia)

2 . EMOTION  AND EMOTIONAL LITERACY OF ADOLESCENTS (Secondary school Ivan Vazov, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria)

3. DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES AND MENTAL HEALTH (Nazilli Mehmet Akif Ersoy Anadolu Lisesi Nazilli – Turkey)

4. МUSIC, ART AND OTHER EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND MENTAL HEALTH OF ADOLESCENTS (Liceul de arta Stefan Luchian Botosani – Romania)

 

Therefore, each topic listed above is divided into several subtopics.

The handbook contains detailed descriptions of the non-formal group activities created by the authors, based on the topics mentioned before.

Each subtopic has a different long session of activities. Some session descriptions also have handouts attached, to be used by the facilitator when leading the activities or given to the participants as informational support.

There are several options for implementing sessions in the manual. We suggest applying them in the order they are listed in the manual.

We hope that it will help you in preserving and improving the mental health of your students, but also that it will inspire you to come up with new activities for your students.
